Description
Kerner Alto Adige Valle Isarco DOC Cantina Valle Isarco: the Kerner variety is a Schiava and Riesling hybrid created in Weinsberg (Germany) around 1930. It prefers the light, gravelly and sandy soils of the higher altitude, sunny hillsides of the mid Valle Isarco. Despite their late ripening period, these grapes provide a highly acclaimed full-bodied and tasty wine.
VINIFICATION: Delicate processing and crushing, controlled-temperature fermentation and ageing on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, no malolactic fermentation
CHARACTERISTICS: Colour straw yellow with greenish hues Nose fresh, intense, spiced, aromatic Taste well-balanced acidity, aromatic, with a light muscat note, peach and apricot scents
AGEING CAPACITY: 3 – 5 years
MATCHINGS: light appetizers, cold meats, egg or mushroom dishes, poached freshwater fish and shellfish, excellent as an aperitif
SERVE AT: 8° – 10°
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14 % vol.
